We build awareness of policy opportunities related to prenatal to age three issues. Our advocacy unites individuals across Wisconsin and agencies across the country. Collectively, we educate policymakers and key stakeholders on multi-sector PN-3 priorities for parents and families in historically underinvested communities.
THE COALITION IN ACTION
For too long, policies affecting young children and families have been created without the people most impacted. Traditional "coalitions" often center white-led institutions with communities of color as afterthoughts.
Just as a kaleidoscope creates beauty through movement and change, our coalition thrives on:
• SHIFTING PERSPECTIVES: We don't operate from a single worldview. Each organization brings different cultural knowledge, historical understanding, and community expertise. When we turn the kaleidoscope, we see PN-3 issues through multiple lenses simultaneously.
• INTENTIONAL PATTERNS: Random pieces of glass don't create beauty – it takes deliberate arrangement. We intentionally structure our coalition so that organizations rooted in historically underinvested communities lead decision-making and set priorities.
• COLLECTIVE BRILLIANCE: When light passes through a kaleidoscope, every piece matters. Remove one fragment, and the entire pattern changes. In Kaleidoscope, every member organization is essential. We succeed together or not at all.
• POWER THROUGH UNITY: A single piece of glass catches light. Many pieces together create radiant, undeniable patterns. Our coalition amplifies what no single organization could achieve alone – building collective power to transform systems.
